When engaged in Portable Appliance Testing, in no event shall Purbeck PAT Testing, any of its operatives or I myself be liable for any losses whatsoever (including, without limitation, indirect, consequential, or incidental loses) to business profits, business interruption, loss of business information (including computer data or similar data), or other pecuniary loss arising out of the use of its services, even if Purbeck PAT Testing, any of its operatives or I myself have been advised of the possibility of such losses.

When PAT Testing, systems such as file servers, mail servers, network switches/hubs and telecommunications equipment will not be inspected/tested without the express permission of The Client.

It is assumed that important computer data/information is regularly and securely backed up by The Client.

When PAT Testing equipment such as video recorders, clocks, central heating system timers, burglar alarms, etc. that lose their programmed memory when disconnected from mains voltage, these will only be unplugged and inspected/tested by me with the express permission of the client, and it is the responsibility of the client to arrange for reprogramming of this equipment, if necessary.

It is the responsibility of The Client to ensure that the equipment that is to be inspected/tested is on site and accessable when I arrive, and to make me aware of any items that are kept out of view, eg seaonal equipment. Any subsequent visit made may be charged at the standard rate for the amount of items tested. All plugs and leads should be reasonably accessable, any equipment that cannot be unplugged due to heavy immobile furniture or an excess of clutter cannot be tested.

Purbeck PAT Testing will endeavour to contact The Client one month before the next test date is due; however, it is The Client's responsibility to ensure that the next test has been booked. If no booking is made before two weeks before the previous test expires, Purbeck PAT Testing will assume that our services are not required on this occasion and make bookings available to other clients for that day.

Payment is expected upon completion of testing, by either cash or cheque, unless otherwise agreed to in advance.
